Pick a date. Tell your people. We hand you a check. California Grill has been part of Whittier since 1996, and fundraiser nights are one of the ways we give back to the schools, teams and nonprofits that make this town what it is.

How Much You Raise

20% of every qualifying sale goes back to your organization.

Most chain restaurant fundraisers give 15%, run for two hours on a weeknight, and only count dine-in. We do it differently.

  • All day, not a two-hour window. Open to close, breakfast through dinner. Families come when they can actually come.
  • Dine-in, takeout and online orders all count. Your supporters use your fundraiser code at checkout. Nobody has to find a table at 6pm on a Tuesday to help you out.
  • Catering counts too, at the same 20%. More on that below.
  • No cap on what you raise. The more people show up, the bigger the check.

Fundraiser pricing does not combine with other discounts, coupons or happy hour pricing.

Catering Fundraisers

This is the one nobody else offers. Instead of asking your supporters to come to us, we come to you.

20% back on catering orders tied to your fundraiser. Teacher appreciation lunches, board dinners, banquet nights, team meals, parent meetings, graduation parties. We deliver from our Whittier kitchen and your organization gets a fifth of it back.

For a lot of schools this raises more than a dine-out night, because one catering order for a staff lunch is worth a lot of individual dinner checks.

How It Works

  1. Call us and pick a date. 562-907-7017. We will talk through what makes sense for your group and your calendar.
  2. We build your flyer. Branded with your organization's name and logo, your date, and your fundraiser code. Print-ready PDF plus a version sized for Instagram, Facebook and email. No charge.
  3. You spread the word. Backpack flyers, email blast, team group chat, social posts. We will give you copy you can paste.
  4. We send the check. We total qualifying sales after your date and get your organization paid.

We Have Been Doing This a Long Time

Over the years California Grill has supported the Whittier Area Chamber of Commerce, the Uptown Whittier Association, the YMCA, the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier, The Whole Child, Fix'n Fidos animal rescue, the Silver Shield Foundation, the Hathaway Golf Classic, and the PIH Health Foundation Golf Tournament, where we are a 2025 sponsor.

During COVID we donated meals to the staff at Whittier Hospital Medical Center. We have hosted meet-and-greet fundraisers, sponsored tournaments, fed volunteers and shown up for a lot of causes that mattered to people in this town.

This is not a marketing program we launched last year. It is what we have been doing since 1996.

Common Questions

How much notice do you need?
Give us as much lead time as you can so we can build your flyer and get the word out. Call and we will tell you what is realistic for your date.

Do online and takeout orders really count?
Yes. Your supporters enter your fundraiser code at checkout. Most restaurant fundraiser programs exclude these, which caps what you can raise. We include them.

Is there a minimum?
Call and ask. We would rather have the conversation than turn away a small group that is trying to do something good.

Can we do more than one a year?
Yes. A lot of our groups do a fall and a spring night.

What if our supporters do not live in Whittier?
Online and takeout orders still count, and we deliver catering across Los Angeles County and Orange County.

Do you provide the flyer?
Yes, free, branded to your organization, print and social versions.

Can we combine this with a coupon or happy hour?
No. Fundraiser pricing stands on its own.
