California Grill & Bar has been on Painter Ave since 1996. Same family, same kitchen, same corner of Whittier for close to thirty years. If you grew up here, you have probably been fed by us at some point.

6751 Painter Ave, Whittier, CA 90601. We open at 8am every single day of the week. We close at 9pm Sunday through Thursday and 10pm Friday and Saturday. Indoor dining room, full bar, and a patio. Reservations are taken, walk-ins are fine.

What Kind of Whittier Restaurant This Is

Breakfast runs all day, so the 3pm omelette order is a normal thing here. Alongside it sits the rest of the menu: burgers, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, steaks, salads and a South of the Border section. It is the kind of room where four people can all want something completely different and nobody has to compromise. There are vegan and vegetarian options on the same menu, not a separate afterthought card.
