Our Fish and Chips starts with flaky Icelandic cod, fried until the outside crackles and the inside stays tender, then hit with malt vinegar the way a proper fish fry should be. It is a pub classic done right in the middle of Whittier.

Choose two sides to round out the plate. Fries are the traditional move, but coleslaw, fresh vegetables, or a dinner salad all pull their weight, and warm garlic bread comes along for the ride. It is a Friday favorite at the bar, a solid family dinner, and a takeout order that has been keeping our regulars happy for years. Made fresh at California Grill & Bar, the family-owned restaurant on Painter Ave in Whittier, CA, serving the neighborhood since 1996. Everything comes out of our own kitchen, and we are open 7 days a week starting at 8 AM (until 9 PM Sunday through Thursday and 10 PM Friday and Saturday).
