This September the Whittier Area Chamber of Commerce held its 48th Annual Hathaway Golf Classic, and California Grill was proud to be one of the sponsors. Hathaway is the Chamber's biggest fundraiser of the year, and the money it raises goes right back into programs that keep Whittier's local businesses strong.
A tournament we keep coming back to
This was not our first time on the course. Over the years we have hosted a hole, run the Bloody Mary bar for golfers and donated to the auction. Every year it is the same story: local business owners, city leaders and neighbors spending a day together and raising real money for the community.
For a family restaurant that has been on Painter Ave since 1996, that is exactly the kind of day we want to be part of. The people swinging clubs at Hathaway are the same people who order our breakfast burritos for their Monday meetings and bring their families in on Friday nights.
